SUNSUKE

Since helping establish Snokey Records in 1991, SUNSUKE has remained an influential figure in Utsunomiya’s music community. He operates the record store Snokey Records and the event space SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE, welcoming DJs and bands from Japan and abroad. As a DJ and selector, he has contributed music programming for FM Tochigi and other radio stations, and has appeared at festivals including FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL and ASAGIRI JAM, continuing to shape the city’s music culture.

DJ darman

Originally from Yuki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, DJ darman began his career inspired by Deep Funk and Northern Soul. A member of PRIMAL ZEAL, he is known for eclectic sets spanning Funk, Soul, Jazz, and Latin. He has performed at numerous events, including Bannaji Music Festival, Yui no Oto, the 2022 Tochigi National Sports Festival, and has supported various artists. He is also a member of the FM Tochigi project potatoboys.

Michiaki Nabetani

Michiaki Nabetani began his DJ career in 1996 and joined PRIMAL ZEAL the following year, earning recognition for his jazz-focused sets. He has appeared regularly at events hosted by Tatsuo Sunaga, as well as Bannaji Festival, Yui no Oto, the 2022 Tochigi National Sports Festival, and venues such as Organ Bar in Shibuya. Currently affiliated with Snokey Records, he also organizes the regular event BIREI, and continues to be one of Tochigi’s leading jazz DJs.
