Stay THE KNOT

[Our Neighbors] Siesta Labo.

Mar 01, 2026

A workshop and shop dedicated to handcrafted soaps made from natural ingredients, “Siesta Labo.” is rooted in Hokkaido’s rich landscape.
Using locally sourced materials such as adzuki beans from Tokachi, natural sea salt from Okhotsk, birch and fir from Shimokawa, and lavender from Furano, each bar is carefully made to be gentle on the skin.

All soaps are crafted using the traditional cold process method and slowly cured over time.
By preserving the inherent qualities of each ingredient, they achieve both skin-friendly formulation and layered, nuanced fragrance. Seasonal collections are also released throughout the year, reflecting the changing beauty of Hokkaido’s four seasons.

Through the window of the adjoining workshop, visitors can observe the artisans at work—an open and honest approach to craftsmanship.

Thoughtfully made in Sapporo with ingredients sourced across Hokkaido,
Siesta Labo. is a place where you can encounter the local culture of the city through its craft.
