【REPORT】New Year Ride Tour 2019
Mar 11, 2019

At THE KNOT TOKYO Shinjuku, you can use the bike rental service Tokyobike, based in Yanaka, Tokyo. From this year, we are holding monthly ride tours, catered to the season. In celebration of the new year, the first kickoff tour was a “New Year Ride”.

We took off from the hotel, and headed to Hatonomori Shrine in Sendagaya, also well-loved by Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. Here they sell charms for bicycles, making it a very popular spot for fellow riders. Once we finished our new year prayers, we headed to a coffee shop recommended by Tokyobike staff in Tomigaya. That was the end of the tour but our guests are allowed to keep on riding for the day by themselves, and return it at the end of the day.

Comments from Tokyobike Staff Daisuke
“At Hatonomori Shrine we received a purification ritual, in the area there are big and small famous bicycle stores lined together, so this a Mecca for bike riding. The “good luck charm for two-wheeled vehicles” is particularly popular, and many of our guests bought these to take home.”
