DIS was formed in 2010 by Lauren Boyle, Solomon Chase, Marco Roso, and David Toro. In addition to running the online “DIS Magazine”, they work on a wide variety of other media. They have continuously been attracting international attention, most notably for curating the 9th Berlin Biennale in 2016.

Last year, DIS shifted its main focus from DIS Magazine to “dis.art”, a video streaming service they describe as ‘edutainment’. It invites renowned artists and critics to redefine the boundary between entertainment and education, through philosophy, technology, contemporary art, activism, and culture.

For this exhibition, DIS collaborated with “TOSHIKI” by Toshiki Serizawa, who is known for previous collaborations with M/M (Paris) and J.W ANDERSON. This will be a new work from the XOXO, SAFETY NET series, which depicts the economic impacts as felt by millennials from the 2008 Lehman shock.
