outwoods with woods and cities

KADO Gallery, a center for culture.
The multi-purpose space at the corner from the entrance, next to the first floor tenant, Seicomart, is named after its location “kado” meaning corner. Although it is predominantly a gallery, it is also a transformable space with no restrictions on its function or use, designed to showcase a wide variety of cultures from art to nature to food and drink pop-ups, each in a purely Hokkaido way.

In this inaugural exhibition of KADO Gallery, freelance lumberjacks from “outwoods” and Mayumi Yamauchi, bring together an eclectic assortment of objects found in the forest.

Period: August 1, 2020 – October 18, 2020
Exhibitors: outwoods (Shigeaki Adachi), Takeshi Jinnouchi, Mayumi Yamauchi
Directon: Tetsuya Kino
